Our Story

After working in custom programming and software developing for 15 years, John Mychael came to recognize the main problems and frustrations that users of custom software routinely encounter. His goal when he founded Swagman Systems Design Inc. in 1992, was to eliminate these frustrations, problems and uncertainties.

He believed, unlike many other programmers, that these problems were not inevitable. As a response to poor quality programming and project management, he developed a detailed system to ensure they do not happen!

  • Changes are frequently made after the commencement of a project without adequate assessment of the impact those changes will have on the project's overall success.
  • Projects are late and over budget.
  • Bugs in the software reduce staff productivity and increase user frustration, disillusionment - not to mention operating costs.
  • Applications don't work the way they were meant to - further reducing their effectiveness.
  • Customer complaints result in superficial "fixes" and underlying procedural changes are not addressed.
