Q: I cannot log into the Report for the Import Utility

A: Simply accounting temporarily blocked our reports access to its data because the number of people working with that database exceeded the number of licenses available. This can also happen if someone is logged into the database in Single-user mode.

Q: I ran the report yesterday and it gave totally different results to the data I got today!

A: Someone set up the program to log in to the "Last Opened" Simply Accounting database. You can check if this has happened by doing the following:

  1. Start the program

  2. When you get to the login screen, click the "locate" button. The login screen will enlarge

  3. Check the box "Simply Accounting Database". If the words "last Opened" appear then this this setting should be changed. Click on the down arrow at the end of the box and select the database you would like to use.

  4. Login as normal. Only change the database setting if you start working with a different database.
